Review: The BEST Eye Primer EVER (IONI 8hour Wear Eye Primer)

Long time no talk! I missed writing and I'm glad to be be back! I have a few very fun posts coming up for you guys, and I apologize for my absence. I guess life just caught up!

But while I was overwhelmed with less Glimmer related subjects, I discovered a new love! I did a haul and an explanation post on the IONI makeup line. This was one of the items I hauled and I'm so excited to finally get to sit down for this review!

I love this eyeshadow primer. Dare I use the words... Holy Grail!?

I think I do.

I am so in love with the performance of this primer. But I want to start off by saying I use this for POWDER PRODUCTS ONLY!

This product has a white doe foot applicator, which is nice for easy application. I know some people prefer squeeze tube type products but I myself am fine with either.

The product inside is a smooth clear formula that leaves no color behind what so ever!

This claims to be an 8hour wear product but I've worn it for 10 and it still looks as amazing as it was when I first applied my eye makeup. And even then I'm sure I could have worn it on for longer.

The consistency of this product is really smooth. Once it sets on your eye for a few seconds it develops a tacky feeling. At first I thought this might be an issue, but that's what makes this so amazing! The shadow instantly clings to the primer and it stays ALL DAY. It also doesn't crease or fade and even though the primer is clear, it still intensifies the shadow!

I think this is also one of the best primers for loose pigments. Nothing can make applying a pigment product to your eye than this.

Now the only con to this product, as I mentioned before, is I can only use it with powder products. It's very hard to blend a cream shadow over your lid, because of that tack it has. The primer will move with the cream product and then it looks cakey. Although this is an amazing powder shadow primer, I skip it when I want to use creams.

Bottom: Shadow NO Primer
As you can see below, this primer doesn't let the shadow budge. In the smudge test below, I rubbed on my hand pretty forcefully and the swatch with primer barely moved.

(I used the shade Serious from The Balm's Nude 'Tude Palette.)

I loved this product so much I purchased a back up before I left Texas!

Definitely Holy Grail! Do Recommend!

Review: My *Holy Grail* Makeup Remover:

Hey Again :)
Today I have a quick review on my favorite way to remove my makeup and get a fresh and clean face at the end of the day, the Up & Up Makeup remover Cleansing Towelettes.

How I Use Them:
Let me start by saying I don't use these to cleanse my face. I use the to remove my makeup only. On a normal day I will follow up with a cleanser after I remove my makeup to remove impurities and get me skin as clean as possible. Every once in a while, if I'm feeling a bit lazy or I'm tired, I may skip the cleanser and crash for the night.

My Reasoning:
I have used tons of different makeup wipes and these are the ones I have been loyal to for about a year now. I have tested out Neutrogena, Estee Lauder, Maybelline, Walmart's Equate brand, "Yes to Cucumbers". and many more wipes. These work best for me!

Specifics:
Up & Up has several different versions of their wipes. They are all supposed to compare to another, more expensive, drugstore brand. For example, my favorite, the Up & Up blue packaged cleansing wipes, compare to Ponds Clean Sweep wipes. I also enjoy the purple packaged ones, that compare to Neutrogena's.

Why I Love Them:
-They remove all my face makeup
-They remove eye makeup easily without tugging on my eyes
-They remove waterproof eye and face makeup
-Many of them are quilted or texture to make removal easier
-Not at all harsh
-Affordable!

Available at Target.

My *Holy Grail* Concealers:

Hey Guys!  :)
Today I'm going to share with you my 4, most loved, have to have, would immediately repurchase, concealers! Or in other words, my "Holy Grails" as far as concealers go.

(Not in any particular order)

No. 1: Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette:

This palette contains two creamy creamy concealers, one lighter one darker, one green toned concealer, and one finely milled translucent setting powder. That's right, all of these in ONE palette. And don't worry, they didn't skimp on the quality because of the bargain. All 3 of these concealers are rich, creamy, easy to blend, and are nicely pigmented! It's easy to find a shade perfect for you by blending the 2 skin tone shades together, or maybe this could be your year around concealer palette! One shade for winter and spring when your a bit lighter, another for summer and fall when your a bit tanner! This palette is essential for blemishes, spots, and discoloration.
Available at target and target.com

Shade 07, now packaged in a black compact.

No. 2: Laura Geller "The Real Deal" Concealer:

This product may be on the pricier side, but you get a major bang for your buck. You need the tiniest amount of product to get great coverage, the full size tube could last for more than a year. This concealer is a bit heavier, so it's best for blemishes and scaring. It covers like no body's business and lasts all day! Love it!
Available at Ulta, Ulta.com, QVC.com, and laurageller.com

Shade Medium

No. 3: E.L.F. Oil Free Maximum Coverage Concealer:

I love this product. Would I say its maximum coverage? No. It's not nearly as opaque and heavy duty as the Laura Geller Real Deal Concealer. But that's why I love it so much! It is light weight and has a natural finish, so it never looks cakey. Its blendable, creamy, and has great pigmentation. I use this under my eyes for dark circles, on my face for blemishes and discoloration, and anywhere else I need to. You can't ever tell I'm wearing concealer. It blends so seamlessly and and melts into the skin while still covering imperfections! It's amazing!
Shade Nude

No. 4: Bare Minerals Multi-Tasking Summer Bisque (SPF 20):

This is a powder concealer product. Bare Minerals really did a fantastic job at creating something blendable, decent coverage, pigmented, and not powdery looking. I love using this to set my under eye concealer. This can be used alone, but if you have dark-dark-dark under eye circles, hard to cover blemishes, or you are trying to amp up the coverage of a maybe not that great concealer, this product is amazing. Alone I'd say it is light to medium coverage, but paired with another concealer, it's amazing! And for those days you don't need a lot of coverage, and you want something quick and effortless, this is my go to!
Shade Summer Bisque

Have a great rest of your day =)
